  • EXPO

    The Expo, located inside the Registration Tent, is primarily active on Registration Day. While exhibitors are welcome to open on Race Day, please note that traffic may be limited. This is an excellent platform for businesses related to running equipment, apparel, and accessories.

  • MARKET

    Our Market comes alive on Race Day, offering a variety of items to participants and spectators. Stallholders can expect a bustling atmosphere, with the chance to cater to a large crowd. The market is also open on Registration Day, with a more spread-out flow of visitors throughout the day.

  • APPLICATIONS

    Stall applications will be open from 11 March to 31 May 2023 (or until sold out) and is subject to approval by organisers. Preference will be given to locals of the greater Knysna area.

  • Friday:

    expo exhibitors: 10h00 – 22h00

    market vendors: 10h00 – 18h00 (or sundown)

  • Saturday:
    all traders: 08h30 – 14h00

Please note that we cannot control the weather and do not provide refunds for bad weather. If you need to pack up early due to weather conditions you can make an arrangement with the organiser.

PRODUCTS & RESTRICTIONS
  • Due to possible conflicts with sponsors and other partners, the following products will NOT be allowed by anyone other than the exhibitors / vendors already appointed by the organizer:
    • Any type of running shoes
    • Merchandise with the Knysna Forest Marathon name or logo

    • Any drinks (hot / cold) incl. alcoholic

  • (This means that any applications to sell running shoes or Knysna Forest Marathon branded merchandise as well as coffee, cold drinks, water or any alcoholic drinks will be automatically declined.)
  • While there might be multiple stalls selling similar items, we will not allow too many of the same products to ensure variety.
  • Only the items listed and approved on your application form will be permitted on the day, no additional products will be allowed without prior arrangement.
  • Should you not comply with any of the above you will not be allowed to operate and your fee will be non-refundable.

It is your responsibility to make your products or services attractive to visitors. We cannot guarantee sales or interest in your stall. There will be competition.

ELECTRICITY SUPPLY
  • Exhibitors / vendors are not to exceed the wattage draw-off from the power point i.e. 500w per plug.
  • Exhibitors / vendors will get max 10AMP from their power point. If your equipment draws more than 10AMPs or trips the power you will not be allowed to use the power point anymore.
  • All appliances for heating purposes must be thermostatically controlled.
  • All appliances should be tested by a qualified and competent person before connecting to the power supply.
  • Bring your own extension cords. (approx. 10m)
  • There are only a limited amount of power points available and electricity supply will be subject to approval depending on what you need it for.
COMPLIANCE & SAFETY
  • Food vendors are required to provide a valid FOOD SAFETY CERTIFICATE before setup.
  • A valid CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE is required for all gas setups.
  • NB: All Vendors using gas or fire are required to have an up to date serviced fire extinguisher at their stand at all times.
  • No open fires will be allowed, unless arrangement is made ahead of time with the organiser.
CONFIRMATION & PAYMENT

Applications close on 31 May 2024.

  • All applications will be reviewed by the organisers.
  • Approvals will be sent via email together with the final contract and invoice within 2 weeks from application or by 7 June 2024 at the latest depending on the type of stall.
  • Final payment is due within 2 weeks of stall confirmation or the stand will be forfeited.
  • Payments are non-refundable after 31 May 2023.
SPACE & BRANDING
  • Branding may only be erected within the confines of the stand and no additional banners may be erected in and around the venues.
  • Vendors & Exhibitors are only allowed to display or hand out literature from within the boundary of their stand.
  • The use of flashing lights or sound systems is NOT permitted.
  • It is the Exhibitor’s responsibility to keep their stand clean and orderly at all times
